Collection: French Movie Posters | Original Vintage Film Posters

Explore our collection of original French movie posters and vintage French film posters, featuring authentic cinema posters from France and French-market releases. Renowned for their distinctive artwork, bold typography and alternative designs, original French posters are among the most sought-after formats in movie poster collecting.

All posters are genuine theatrical-release originals sourced from cinemas, distributors, archives and private collections — never reproductions. Many feature unique artwork created specifically for the French market, often differing significantly from their UK and US counterparts.

French poster design became particularly influential during the 1960s and 1970s, when distributors regularly commissioned original artwork for international releases. Many vintage French film posters feature striking alternative designs, particularly the large-format French Grande posters that remain popular with collectors.

The collection includes posters from classic French cinema, Hollywood productions released in France, cult films, horror, science fiction, crime and European art-house cinema. Many collectors seek French posters for their distinctive interpretation of familiar titles and their strong display appeal.

French movie posters are highly collectible due to their rarity outside France, exceptional artwork and connection to some of cinema's most celebrated films. Well-preserved examples continue to attract collectors worldwide.
