Released in Italy as Il Gatto a Nove Code, Cat O' Nine Tails (1971) was directed by Dario Argento and stars James Franciscus, Karl Malden, Catherine Spaak, Pier Paolo Capponi, Horst Frank, Rada Rassimov, Aldo Reggiani, Cinzia De Carolis and Tino Carraro. Widely regarded as one of Argento's defining early giallo films, it follows a newspaper journalist and a retired reporter as they investigate a series of murders linked to a genetics research institute.

This original Italian two-panel poster was printed in two overlapping sections, as issued for theatrical display. Large-format Italian posters are especially prized by collectors for their impressive display size and striking artwork, and this is a country-of-origin poster for one of Argento's best-known films.
