Directed by Andrew V. McLaglen, Chisum (1970) stars John Wayne, Forrest Tucker, Christopher George, Ben Johnson, Bruce Cabot, Glenn Corbett and Geoffrey Deuel. Based on events surrounding the Lincoln County War, the film follows cattle baron John Chisum as he joins forces with Billy the Kid and Pat Garrett against a powerful land developer in one of John Wayne's final classic Western roles.
