Directed by Jean-Charles Tacchella, Cousin Cousine (1975) stars Marie-Christine Barrault, Victor Lanoux, Marie-France Pisier and Guy Marchand. This Academy Award-nominated French romantic comedy follows two cousins whose unexpected friendship gradually develops into a romance, causing upheaval within their extended families.

The film received Academy Award nominations for Best Original Screenplay and Best Foreign Language Film, becoming one of the most acclaimed French comedies of the 1970s. It was later remade in Hollywood as Cousins (1989), starring Ted Danson and Isabella Rossellini.
