Directed by John Hough, Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry is a 1974 American action crime thriller starring Peter Fonda, Susan George, Adam Roarke and Vic Morrow.
Peter Fonda plays Larry Rayder, an ambitious racing driver who plans to finance his motorsport career by robbing a supermarket with his mechanic and accomplice Deke Sommers, played by Adam Roarke.
Their carefully planned robbery becomes increasingly complicated when Mary Coombs, played by Susan George, unexpectedly joins them.
With the police in pursuit, the trio embark on a high-speed escape across rural Northern California, leading to a series of spectacular car chases and dangerous confrontations.
Vic Morrow stars as Captain Everett Franklin, the determined police officer coordinating the pursuit, while Kenneth Tobey appears in a supporting role.
Based on the novel The Chase by Richard Unekis, the film became a popular example of the American car-chase genre of the 1970s, combining fast-paced action, rebellious characters and an unforgettable ending.
Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry has subsequently developed a cult following among enthusiasts of classic American muscle cars, road movies and drive-in cinema.
This original US theatrical poster features striking illustrated artwork by Robert Tanenbaum, with large portraits of Peter Fonda and Susan George above dramatic scenes of speeding cars and police pursuit.
The colourful composition captures the film's rebellious atmosphere and high-speed action, making it an appealing example of 1970s American movie poster design.
An original piece of cinema memorabilia for collectors of Peter Fonda, Susan George, classic car-chase films and vintage illustrated theatrical posters.
