Directed by Tony Garnett, Handgun is a 1983 British-American crime thriller, also released under the alternative title Deep in the Heart.

The film stars Karen Young as Kathleen Sullivan, a young woman whose life is dramatically changed following a violent assault. Determined to regain control of her life, she becomes increasingly involved with firearms and embarks on a dangerous path towards confronting her attacker.

The supporting cast includes Clayton Day, Suzie Humphreys, Helena Humann and Ben Jones.

Combining psychological drama with elements of the revenge thriller, Handgun explores themes of trauma, personal safety, violence and the consequences of taking justice into one's own hands.

The film was directed by Tony Garnett, the British producer and filmmaker associated with socially conscious dramas including Kes and Cathy Come Home.

Released in Italy under the title Un Bersaglio Particolare, this original theatrical poster features a striking design showing the central female character aiming a handgun directly towards the viewer, with imagery of an American police car incorporated into the composition.

Produced in the large Italian 4-Fogli format, the poster consists of two separate printed sections designed to overlap when displayed, measuring approximately 140 x 198 cm.

An unusual original 1980s cinema poster for collectors of crime thrillers, revenge films and vintage Italian theatrical artwork.
