Directed by Robert Parrish, Journey to the Far Side of the Sun is a 1969 British science-fiction thriller produced by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, best known for their work on Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet and UFO.

The film stars Roy Thinnes as astronaut Glenn Ross, alongside Ian Hendry, Lynn Loring, Patrick Wymark and Herbert Lom.

Set in a near-future world of international space exploration, the story follows a mission to investigate a mysterious planet discovered on the opposite side of the Sun. When the astronauts return, they encounter a series of unsettling differences that suggest their journey has taken them somewhere extraordinary.

Featuring elaborate spacecraft models, futuristic production design and special effects by Derek Meddings, the film has developed a cult following among enthusiasts of British science-fiction cinema and the Anderson productions.

This original US theatrical poster features the distinctive American advertising campaign for the film, marketed under the title Journey to the Far Side of the Sun rather than its original British title, Doppelgänger.
