Kommando Leopard follows a group of guerrilla fighters operating in a fictional South American country, where they battle government forces in an escalating conflict.

Lewis Collins stars as Carrasco, the leader of the resistance, alongside Klaus Kinski as Silveira. The film also features Cristina Donadio, John Steiner and Hans Leutenegger.

Directed by Antonio Margheriti, a prolific Italian filmmaker also known for his science fiction, horror and action productions, the film reflects the popularity of European military action cinema during the 1980s.

Released during the height of the decade's action-film boom, Kommando Leopard combines large-scale explosions, jungle warfare and practical stunt sequences.

This original German A0 poster features dramatic full-colour artwork, with Lewis Collins prominently holding a weapon against a backdrop of explosions, helicopters and military action.

The bold composition and prominent billing for Collins and Kinski make it an appealing piece of original 1980s action cinema advertising.

An interesting original theatrical poster for collectors of European exploitation cinema, 1980s action films and the work of Antonio Margheriti.
