Directed by Caspar Wrede, Ransom is a British crime thriller starring Sean Connery, Ian McShane, Isabel Dean, John Quentin and Robert Harris.

Sean Connery stars as Colonel Nils Tahlvik, head of security in a fictional Scandinavian country, who is faced with two connected terrorist attacks. The British Ambassador is taken hostage at his residence while another group hijacks a British passenger aircraft at the country's main airport.

As the terrorists make their demands, Tahlvik attempts to regain control of the situation and prevent the hostages from being used as bargaining chips.

Written by Paul Wheeler and filmed on location in Norway and at Shepperton Studios in England, Ransom was released in North America under the title The Terrorists.
