Directed by Claude Zidi, The Animal (L'Animal) is a 1977 French action comedy starring Jean-Paul Belmondo and Raquel Welch.

Belmondo plays Michel Gaucher, a talented but accident-prone stuntman whose relationship with fellow stunt performer Jane Gardner, played by Raquel Welch, becomes increasingly complicated by their dangerous profession and turbulent romance.

Belmondo also portrays Bruno Ferrari, an egotistical film star who bears an extraordinary resemblance to Michel, creating opportunities for mistaken identity, elaborate stunts and comic misunderstandings.

The supporting cast includes Dany Saval, Raymond Gérôme, Charles Gérard, Julien Guiomar, Mario David and Aldo Maccione.

Known for its spectacular stunt sequences and physical comedy, The Animal showcases Belmondo's reputation for performing many of his own dangerous screen stunts.

This original Italian theatrical poster features illustrated artwork by Yves Thos, whose distinctive designs appeared on numerous European cinema posters.

Produced in the impressive Italian 4-Fogli format, the poster consists of two separate printed sections designed to overlap when displayed.

An attractive piece of original 1970s European cinema memorabilia for collectors of Jean-Paul Belmondo, Raquel Welch and vintage Italian movie poster artwork.
