Directed by Philip Saville, The Best House in London is a 1969 British period comedy set in Victorian London, starring David Hemmings, Joanna Pettet and George Sanders.

The film follows a group of social reformers whose attempts to improve conditions for women become entangled in the establishment of an exclusive London brothel. Combining period satire, comedy and social commentary, the film offers an irreverent look at Victorian attitudes towards morality and prostitution.

The supporting cast includes Dany Robin, Warren Mitchell and Veronica Carlson, whose appearances in Hammer horror productions provide an additional connection for collectors of British cult cinema.

This original Italian theatrical poster features artwork by Ercole Brini, a prolific Italian film poster illustrator.

Printed in two separate sections designed to overlap when displayed, the completed 4-Fogli measures almost two metres high, making it an impressive example of large-format Italian cinema advertising.
