Directed by Mark Rydell, The Reivers is a 1969 American comedy-drama based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by William Faulkner.

Set in Mississippi during the early 20th century, the film follows Boon Hogganbeck, played by Steve McQueen, who persuades a young boy named Lucius McCaslin to accompany him on an adventurous journey to Memphis in a borrowed motor car.

Along the way, their travels lead to a series of colourful encounters, misadventures and unexpected discoveries, capturing the humour and atmosphere of Faulkner's American South.

The supporting cast includes Sharon Farrell, Will Geer, Michael Constantine, Rupert Crosse, Mitch Vogel, Ruth White and Juano Hernandez.

Rupert Crosse received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his performance, while the film's musical score by John Williams was also nominated for an Academy Award.

The Reivers offers a lighter and more playful role for Steve McQueen, contrasting with his better-known performances in action films and thrillers.

Released in Italy under the title Boon il Saccheggiatore, this original theatrical poster features a distinctive photographic design highlighting McQueen and the film's supporting cast.

Produced in the impressive Italian 4-Fogli format, the poster consists of two separate printed sections designed to overlap when displayed, measuring approximately 140 x 198 cm.

An appealing piece of original 1960s cinema memorabilia for collectors of Steve McQueen, classic American films and vintage Italian movie posters.
