Directed by Michael Apted and based on the novella by H. E. Bates, The Triple Echo is a 1972 British wartime drama starring Glenda Jackson, Oliver Reed and Brian Deacon.

Set in rural England during the Second World War, Brian Deacon plays Barton, a young soldier who deserts from the army and takes refuge at the isolated farm of Alice, played by Glenda Jackson. To conceal his identity, Barton disguises himself as a woman and assumes the name Cathy.

Their situation becomes increasingly dangerous following the arrival of an aggressive army sergeant, played by Oliver Reed, who becomes attracted to Cathy.

The Triple Echo marked Michael Apted's feature-film directorial debut and was later released in the United States under the alternative title Soldier in Skirts.

This original British Quad features distinctive artwork by Maciek Piotrowski and was printed in England by W.E. Berry Ltd., Bradford.
