This is a genuine theatrical-release movie poster produced for the 1971 Italian cinema release of the Tom & Jerry animated shorts compilation, released in Italy as Il topo è mio e l'ammazzo quando mi pare, not a reproduction.

Size: 55 x 78 inches (140 x 198 cm)

Condition: Edge and fold wear with small tears, creasing and some markings.

This 1971 Italian compilation brings together a selection of classic Tom & Jerry theatrical cartoons created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. First introduced in 1940, the iconic cat-and-mouse duo became one of animation's most celebrated series, with the original MGM shorts winning seven Academy Awards and remaining enduring favourites with generations of audiences.

This original Italian two-panel poster was printed in two overlapping sections, as issued for theatrical display. Large-format Italian posters are especially sought after by collectors for their impressive display size and striking artwork, and this striking design is far more dramatic than many contemporary Tom & Jerry posters produced for other markets.
