Directed by Dick Clement, Water is a 1985 British comedy starring Michael Caine, Valerie Perrine, Brenda Vaccaro, Leonard Rossiter and Billy Connolly.

Set on the fictional Caribbean island of Cascara, Michael Caine stars as Governor Baxter Thwaites, whose quiet life is disrupted when an abandoned oil well unexpectedly produces valuable mineral water. The discovery attracts the attention of the British government, an American corporation, French interests and local revolutionaries, all competing for control of the island and its unlikely new resource.

Produced by HandMade Films, Water was written by Dick Clement, Ian La Frenais and Bill Persky. The supporting cast includes Fulton Mackay, Dennis Dugan, Jimmie Walker, Fred Gwynne and Alfred Molina.

The film also features appearances by George Harrison, Eric Clapton and Ringo Starr during the climactic concert sequence, adding further interest for collectors of HandMade Films and British comedy memorabilia.
