Directed by Igor Auzins, We of the Never Never is a 1982 Australian historical drama starring Angela Punch McGregor, Arthur Dignam, Martin Vaughan, Lewis Fitz-Gerald, Tony Barry and John Jarratt.

Based on Jeannie Gunn's autobiographical novel, the film follows Jeannie Gunn as she travels with her husband to a remote cattle station in Australia's Northern Territory at the beginning of the 20th century.

Initially struggling with the isolation, harsh conditions and attitudes she encounters, Jeannie gradually adapts to life in the outback and develops relationships with the people and communities around her.

An acclaimed example of Australian period cinema of the early 1980s, the film received six Australian Film Institute Award nominations, including Best Film.
