Directed by Norman Tokar and based on the much-loved novel by Wilson Rawls, Where the Red Fern Grows is a 1974 family adventure drama starring Stewart Petersen, James Whitmore, Beverly Garland, Jack Ging and Lonny Chapman.

Set in rural Oklahoma during the Great Depression, the film follows young Billy Coleman, played by Stewart Petersen, who works and saves to buy two Redbone Coonhound puppies, Old Dan and Little Ann. Billy forms a powerful bond with the dogs as the three embark on a series of hunting adventures together.

James Whitmore plays Billy's grandfather, with Beverly Garland and Jack Ging as his parents. The film was the screen debut of Stewart Petersen and became an enduring adaptation of Wilson Rawls' 1961 novel.

This original British Quad was printed in England by W.E. Berry Ltd., Bradford for the film's UK cinema release.
